We’re excited to sprout our very first Community Supported Agriculture Scheme! Trust us – we’re happy to have you on board.

By signing up to receive your veg, you’re not just buying fresh food, you’re becoming a member of the Black Growth CSA Farm Family. As a CSA member you commit to supporting us through an entire 12-week growing season (June-October 2025), by purchasing a share either upfront or through easy monthly installments.

We’re a proud CIC rooted in making food affordable and accessible, especially in response to rising costs and inequalities. Our tiered pricing system is designed to help people pay what they can afford because we believe fresh food is for everyone. To see which tier fits you best, check out our Tier Chart.

Starting from June 7th, our CSA members will receive a fresh, generous and vibrant harvest bag, twice a month. The Black Growth Harvest Bag comes packed in recyclable packaging with a beautiful mix of flavour-packed crops inspired by the African diaspora — crops that nourish our roots and feed the movement. Each Harvest Bag will give you enough crops for 1-3 veggie lovers for the week!

FAQs

1. What is a Share? 

A share is the full amount of our Black Growth Harvest Bag contributing to our Community Supported Agriculture Scheme. The scheme is running from June to November 2025 and entitles a member to 2 harvest bags a month, which is a total of 12 harvest bags. 

2. When will I receive my Harvest Bag? 

CSA Members can choose to collect their harvest bags from the Black Growth CIC Site or have their harvest bags delivered. We can only deliver to members who live within a 5 mile radius of the site. 

3. Where and when do I collect?

Where: collection point is Roots Allotments Site, Meadow Hill, Fields CR5 2QQ See map
The Black Growth Site is located at the back of the allotment where the brown shed is. Please ring our doorbell at the wide gate. 

When: collection is available between 12pm and 4pm every first and third Saturday of the month starting June 7th 2025.

4. What if I can’t collect?

Harvest bags are only available for pickup on Saturdays. If you're unable to collect yours, please send a message in the CSA Member WhatsApp group—someone else may be happy to collect it for you. If your bag isn't picked up within 5 days, we'll donate it to a local soup kitchen to ensure nothing goes to waste.

5. Can I cancel my Subscription?

Subscriptions to our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program are refundable up until May 31st 2025, when the season begins. To cancel your sign up please email us at hello(at)blackgrowth.co.uk. After May 31st all sign ups are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. By signing up, you're joining us in supporting a growing season and sharing in the harvest. Your subscription is a commitment to our farm and community, much like purchasing a share in a cooperative venture.

6. What happens if I miss my collection or delivery?

If you won’t be home, we recommend leaving a note with a safe place for us to leave your harvest bag, or naming a neighbour who can accept it on your behalf. You can do this in the checkout page. If no instructions are provided and no one is available to receive the delivery, you’ll need to collect your bag from us directly. We want to make sure you get your fresh produce, so just let us know how we can help!

7. What food can I expect in my harvest bag?

Take a peek at our Planting Plan for a preview of the delicious variety we’re growing this season! Twice a month, each bag will be a little different, depending on what’s thriving and ready to harvest. As a small but dedicated team, we work hard to bring you the freshest, seasonal produce straight from our fields. Thank you for growing with us!
