Come learn and get involved with a variety of activities at Black Growth Farm on Roots Allotment in Coulsdon, Croydon. The Black Growth Farm consists of a market garden where our Lead Growers teach the community all things in food and growing. A clean open space to connect with people and the land.
We are inviting you to get involved in our Community Day at our Market Garden on Roots Allotment in Meadow Hill, Croydon. This year we have successfully hosted 5 community days allowing several people from the local and wider community to learn how to grow and connect with land. From woodchipping, to shed building to herb gardening and plant care.

- Sign Making
- Plant Care
What to bring:
- Protective and comfortable clothing
- Gardening gloves
- Comfortable shoes (hiking trainers or regular trainers)
- Water bottle
PLEASE NOTE: The activities will spread across the summer season due to capacity and minimal equipment. If you can’t join this session we will be running them once a month until August 2025. Anyone attending under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We strongly request anyone that works in the carpentry sector to assist but ALL people are welcome to help!
